                snow would fall  if a rainstorm should change to snow, just add
                a zero.  (One inch of rain - add a zero - will turn to 10 inches of
                snow.) Plus, rainfall has increased so dramatically that I'm only

Wisconsin record snowfall brings disaster declaration - 8 Apr 11 - Federal emergency management officials have issued a disaster declaration for 10 Wisconsin counties - Dane, Dodge, Grant, Iowa, Kenosha, Lafayette, Milwaukee, Racine, Walworth and Washington - that saw record snowfall during an early February storm.

The storm began on Jan. 31 and lasted through Feb. 3. Gov. Scott Walker's office says emergency response efforts such as snow plowing cost the counties about $9.5 million.

Snow closes I-5 in So. California for nearly 24 hours - Heavy snows and gusty winds forced the California Highway Patrol to close a portion the Grapevine section of Interstate 5 for nearly 24 hours. Some people remained stranded in their cars, others took a 250-mile detour to reach their destinations.
